i don't know. nick seems to love the football metaphor, so i thought i would try one.
anyway, i know my baby daddy has been doing a fine job of updating the masses, but i decided today is my turn.
it is April 10, Good Friday, and I have been a patient at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita since Monday. I am now, and I will be a resident of the women's clinic here until Maggie is born. At this point the neonatologist and the perinatologist seem far more worried about my health than maggie's, which is mildly comforting. Both specialists report that a girl, the size of ours (big--measured 31 weeks, 3.3 lbs on the 28 week unltrasound), at 28+ weeks has an amazing chance of healthy survival. that is reassuring.
initially i was hooked up to three meds through an iv, with a secondary iv site-- in case i had to have an emergncy c-sectio, so that was not too much fun. they took me off the medications on Monday afternoon, but i kept the iv sites til this a.m., when my new bff removed them.
now, all i have is some leg massager things that help prevent blood clots. they are a nuisance, but also relaxing. i am tired a lot, and tire easily doing the few things i am allowed to do. we are good though. my bp is high, but within limits for women in my condition. i will have a bunch more tests on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday to check progress, so i will let you know more then.
love you guys and thanks for the prayers
i will keep you posted as i can. if i can't, nick will. i apologize for the lack of specific, personal communication, but it is exhausting telling the same details multiple times. feel free to comment here, email me (tnevad@hotmail.com), or send me a message on facebook. I am not on often, but nick promises to keep me posted.
keep praying! thanks, love trace
